This weekend I had the priviledge of doing a Sip and See for a very dear friend of mine. Carol and her husband began the adoption process about a year ago and had planned to do an international adoption, the story of how God brought these precious babies to this sweet family is really inspiring and so fun to be apart of. You can read all of Carol's adoption journey HERE. The details of God's faithfulness are amazing and truly only He could have worked out all the specifics that have occurred over the past few months.
Our Community Group girls got together and threw a little "bless their nest" Sip and See to celebrate the birth of these two angel babies, William and Violet. We thoroughly enjoyed helping to give them their debut!
We used neutral colors with burlap and had pops of teal and pink, which are some of the colors she's using in the nursery they will share. We had a lot of fun collaborating and pulling it all together, thanks ladies for all your help!
I tried my hand at making sugar cookies since Carol really likes them...she is quite the cookie maker, as anyone who knows her well can attest!
We served a lemonade punch with strawberries and lemon slices in mason jars with cute paper straws, as well as having spinach dip, salsa, cupcakes and lemon bars to munch on.
It was fun visiting with all the ladies...
She got lots of cute things and many practical items as well!
Speaking from a Momma who likes to dress my kiddos alike too, I knew she'd think these appliqued t-shirts and onesies were cute, I'm pretty sure they were a hit!
And the babies did this the entire party...they loved snuggling with all the guests, what a treat it is to get to hold them!
I love these women and am grateful to be able to do life with them! Lindsay, what fun it was to see you, it won't be long until we're throwing one of these for your little bun in the oven, thanks for making the trip back, we miss you lots! Thanks Carol, for letting us dote on you and your sweet ones for a bit! May God's great blessings continue to rest upon you and strengthen you! Love you sweet friend!
