Peyton's 12th Birthday

This year Peyton wanted to invite a few friends to have lunch then go to Third Realm to do the ninja warrior course, so that's exactly what we did. We had the parents drop the kids at Larry's Pizza, where we ate, did cupcakes and played in the arcade.

And who doesn't enjoy a big game of dodge ball?!  Happy Birthday Peyton!  You are a true first born, a definite leader.  You love to help others by taking initiative.  When you see something that needs to be done, you automatically do it without having to be asked or told.  You're a child who even from a young age has had an old soul...you love to read, talk about verses that you've been reading, play video games and watch movies as a family.  You're a great kid--Daddy and I are so thankful to have the opportunity to be your parents!  We love you bud!

CARTI Festival of Trees

This past week was full of fun evenings out on the town helping to raise money for CARTI Cancer Center.  It started on Thursday evening with Ava Jane and Adam going to the Sugar Plum Ball, a daddy daughter event that she has been looking forward to for months!  I went and got two dresses for her to pick from and she chose this cute little number and specifically requested "sparkly shoes".  She was thrilled to spend the evening with Adam and her friends.

This little girl of ours was so excited to be with her daddy.  She couldn't wait to get upstairs and get the party started!

These brothers huddled up and stuck together while all the daddy's and daughters filled the Statehouse Convention Center and pictures were being taken.  A couple of us momma's decided to walk to the Flying Fish for dinner with our boys, it was a fun evening for all of us.  (The laughs and smiles in this picture make me smile so much!)

The second, of the three night event, was Festival of Fashion which is a New York style fashion show and was very well attended, the theme this year was  Ode to Vogue and was very entertaining to watch!!  I sure had fun with these ladies and enjoyed the evening together.   From the hor'derves to the swag bags, the dancers to the models, everything was lovely and certainly entertainment for a cause.

Then Saturday evening culminated with a gorgeous soiree, Tux n Trees.  It was a wonderful evening of remembering the past 42 years and looking forward to the future of what's to come.  It was fun to see so many familiar faces and getting to hug the necks of friends I hadn't seen in a while.  Having both mine and Adam's family joining us on this wonderful evening was a real treat.

These friends...what a gift!  It was super fun getting all dressed up and enjoying the evening together.

With Dizzy's playing all kinds of great hits, we enjoyed a rare evening of helping to raise money for a great cause, dancing and laughing.  To the ladies of the CARTI Foundation and the Auxillary volunteers who worked so very hard to put on a wonderful evening, thank you!  It was truly a fabulous event!

Fall Recap

Our Fall has been flying by.  There has literally been NO time to upload pictures or document any of the fun things we have been doing.  So, for posterity sake and my desire to look back and remember the memories made, I'm gonna play a little bit of catch up.

This year we tried to do a new (to us) pumpkin patch out at Family Farm, but after driving all the way out to Malvern, we discovered its only open on Saturdays, stink!   😩😳😬🙄  There are zip lines and climbing walls so I thought it'd be really fun for the boys...but on a Friday afternoon, it wasn't open!😠  We'll just have to try again next year.  We did manage to snap a few pictures before heading off to Mary's Pumpkin Patch in Bryant on our way back to Little Rock.

The kids enjoyed the "bull-riding", hayride/ole west show, bounce house and of course the pumpkin picking.

This Halloween was different here in Little Rock.  Due to the rainy forecast, 2018 will be remembered as the year parents and neighborhoods changed a "holiday" for the sake of fun, which was a great idea.  But this year, we decided to stay home, carve pumpkins and have a dance party without all the candy-hype to have to police and monitor for the next few weeks.   A low key evening just the six of us was a nice change of pace.

Not too shabby huh on this intricate pumpkin carving!?

And though the Razorbacks haven't had the best record the last few years, the kids still wanted to dress-up as Hog Fans in hopes of better seasons to come!

And though raking leaves isn't my all time favorite thing to do, I did love seeing this sweet girl and her cousin jumping in the leaves.  Adam and I may be in real, real trouble with this cutie patootie, cause these self posed pictures she wanted are shamelessly sassy and adorable all at the same time!  I truly want to bottle up these moments and tuck them away for rougher seasons as a parent...time please stand still...I can't handle how quickly these days are going.😢😩🤩😍IMG_4273

As we move toward the holidays, I'm looking forward to more time with these precious people and the memories that we will make together!

Spring Break: The Sweet Spot
