One afternoon, during the middle of the week, we all decided to take a break from the sun and go visit the Naval Museum in Pensacola. Between all the planes and the WWII exhibits, the boys were fairly well entertained and enjoyed seeing it all.
One evening we decided, very spur of the moment, to go out for dessert. Bill found a place near the house so we all loaded up and took off for some ice cream. As we drove, following the Apple maps, we came to two dead ends. There were apparently several locations of this particular ice cream joint and we managed to not find either of them. Finally, after much angst from the back of our car, and a promise to get some ice cream, we finally found where we were supposed to be. When we arrived it was about an hour wait so all 20 of us walked down the sidewalk on the main strip to another ice cream spot. Adam was determined at this point (with whiny children in tow) to deliver on his promise. Thankfully after much waiting, each child held a yummy ice cream cone in their sweet little hand.
There's nothing a little sweet treat can't cure! (Our evening was saved!)
